Details from third parties. Our booking tool passes us the details of the call you book. That is the only personal data this website brings us from someone else.
What we do not ask for. We do not ask for sensitive personal data, such as health details or government ID numbers, and we do not take card payments on this site. Please do not send us any.
3. Why we use it
We use personal data for these reasons. Each one has a legal basis.
- To reply to you, send your audit and hold your call. You asked us to, and we have a legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
- To deliver services to clients. We need to in order to carry out our contract with you.
- To keep the site running and secure. We have a legitimate interest in a site that works and is not abused.
- To measure how the site is used. In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, only with your consent. Elsewhere, we have a legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. You can turn analytics off at any time on the Cookie Policy page. Session recording with Microsoft Clarity happens only with your consent, everywhere.
- To meet legal duties. For example, keeping tax and accounting records.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we rely on your consent, or on the fact that you gave us your details yourself for a purpose we told you about.
This site has no newsletter sign-up.
5. International transfers
We are based in India and work with businesses in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and India. So your data will usually be handled outside the country where you live.
When you send us your details, we receive them in India, because we cannot act on your request without them. The companies listed in section 4 store data in the countries shown there.
Where a transfer from the UK or the EEA needs a safeguard, we rely on the standard contractual clauses, and the UK addendum to them, where the company offers them. You can ask us for more detail on the safeguard for any transfer.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and client data for as long as we need it to reply to you, deliver our services and meet legal duties. That is no longer than 36 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer. Tax and accounting records are an example of the second case.
Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Analytics cookies last up to 12 months unless you delete them or turn analytics off. Session recordings are kept for up to 13 months.
When we no longer need data, we delete it or remove what identifies you.
7. Your rights
Your rights depend on where you live. To use any of them, email contact@aquinel.com. It is free. We reply within 30 days. We may ask for something to confirm who you are before we act.
United Kingdom and European Union
Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you can ask for access to your data, ask us to correct it, delete it or restrict how we use it, ask for a copy you can take elsewhere, object to our use of it, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your regulator. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office. In the EU it is the data protection authority in your country.
California and other US states
You can ask to know what personal data we hold about you, ask us to delete it and ask us to correct it. You can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data. We do not sell or share it in that sense, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Canada
Under PIPEDA you can ask for access to your personal information, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent, subject to legal limits. You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Australia
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask for access to your personal information and ask us to correct it. If you complain to us and are not satisfied with our answer, you can go to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
India
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask for a summary of your personal data and how we use it, ask us to correct or erase it, withdraw consent, name another person to use your rights if you die or cannot act, and raise a grievance with us. If we do not resolve it, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Security
Data sent between your browser and this site is encrypted in transit. Access to enquiry and client data is limited to the people who need it to do their work.
No system is completely secure, and we do not claim ours is. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the regulator where the law requires it.
10. Children
This site is for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has sent us data, email us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will say so in a note at the top of this page, and we will ask for your cookie choice again where it is affected.
